Founded in 1961, Wilmette Community Nursery School (WCNS) is one of the oldest preschools on the North Shore. With children at its heart, WCNS supports deep thinking, exploration, and a relationship-based learning environment. Over 60 years later, WCNS continues to uphold its mission to provide a warm, nurturing, supportive environment where children can play, learn, and grow under the guidance of professional and devoted teachers.
This spring, we will be hosting our annual spring fundraising gala and are seeking community members to donate to and/or sponsor our event. Your contribution will greatly help Wilmette Community Nursery school continue its legacy in our community. All of the revenue generated from the evening will directly benefit the school by helping to provide engaging curriculum to our students and support critical programming like weekly music, the edible garden, and STEAM enrichments. Most importantly, donations will help us continue to foster a strong sense of belonging in our students through innovative and creative play and the relationships staff build with each individual student.

Charity Auction Ball (CAB) is Northwestern Kellogg School of Management's largest philanthropy fundraising event! Each year, we connect with Chicagoland non-profits and the student body votes to select three organizations to share the CAB grant. The entire Kellogg community comes together - students, faculty, alumni, and local business alike - to donate their time, talents, services, and one-of-a-kind items for the CAB auction. During our namesake event, The Charity Auction Ball, over 200 donations are bid on in a live auction, raising over $100,000 by the end of the night!
Housing Our Own-Wilmette (http://housingwilmette.org), a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance to senior citizens and people with disabilities to ensure they can remain members of our community. To help defray the cost of living in Wilmette, our assistance programs provide modest rental and property tax assistance. Not huge sums of money but terribly important to those in need.
This program is 100% funded through private donations and the majority of our funds are raised via our annual raffle. This year's raffle grand prize is a 3-year lease on a FULLY ELECTRIC BMW! The raffle includes additional prizes donated by many of Wilmette’s favorite restaurants. Are you feeling lucky?
Please consider purchasing a raffle ticket or simply donating to Housing Our Own Wilmette. Thank you for your support of this important local charity where all funds are used to support Wilmette residents in need.

This is the third year in a row we are working with New Moms. New Moms’ mission is to strengthen families by partnering with young moms as they progress toward housing stability, economic mobility, and family well-being. They believe in the strength, skills, and potential of all families and communities to pursue and achieve their goals, and envision a future where every young family thrives. While 97% of the young families that come to New Moms are experiencing poverty, all of them seek a future of shared prosperity with their children.
Our 2022 donation provided 306 nights (or 10 months) of housing for a young mother and her child AND 3 months of emergency support -- food, diapers, formula, cleaning supplies, and transit.

The Covenant nursery school event is our annual fundraiser to help raise funds for our operating funds. This year it will be May 6th, 2023, at 5 & Dime in Evanston. Early childhood programs rely on generous families and local businesses to raise money to help with the growing operating costs for quality programing. Thank you for helping support our children.

Dear One Magnificent Medspa,
Thank you for your generous donation to the Wilmette community nursery school 2023 spring fundraiser - a night on the red carpet! Your contribution to our fundraiser ensured that our young learners and school community continue to benefit from unique and innovative programs. Because of your generous donation, we were able to raise close to $18,000! We hope you take pride in knowing that your donation helped our school remain in a place where children can play, learn, and grow. Taking the time to donate to our school and can continue to support making WCNS the warm and welcoming community that it is.
Sincerely,
Jenny O. WCNS”

New Moms:
The Village of Wilmette was incorporated as a municipality in 1872, thus in 2022, the Village of Wilmette will observe its 150th birthday. In fall of 2020 the Village Board of Trustees determined that this milestone should be celebrated in a manner similar to prior significant anniversaries. To that end, the Village Board created a 15-member Sesquicentennial Planning Committee which first met in December 2020 and continues to meet monthly. The committee is working to create a calendar of events as part of the Sesquicentennial Celebration. These events and a variety of other projects are being developed by the Committee’s various working groups: big events, fundraising, arts, history, business, and promotion. 1MM is proud to sponsor this exciting event:
The New Trier Booster Club's mission is to enhance the New Trier High School experience by fostering Spirit, Sport, and Tradition.
The proceeds from this year's online auction will go towards enhancing athletic programs at New Trier.
The Joseph Sears School is the focal point of our community and an enormous source of pride for our residents. For many years, the JSSPVA has sponsored an Annual Benefit to raise funds for programs and projects that elevate the education of, and promote service among, our beloved students. Whether we are organizing enrichment opportunities, providing extracurricular scholarships, or funding staff appreciation events, the JSSPVA’s work strengthens our school and our community. We thank you for your continued support of our special school.
